On the other hand, Brazil is a year-round destination with multiple climate extremes, none of which are severe enough to prevent travel to any section of the country at any time. In June and July, the northeastern coast receives occasional rain, although only in the form of afternoon showers.

The Pantanal, the world's most extensive tropical wetland, is in Brazil. The driest months in the area are between April and October when temperatures range between 30°C and 35°C. However, as in the Amazon, the wetter months provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. To mention a few, you could see jaguars, hyacinth macaws, and capybaras.

Brazil Weather

Brazil's seasons are completely opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere, with summer lasting from December to March and winter lasting from June to September. The climate varies wildly from region to region within the country. Summers in most of Brazil is scorching. With significant humidity, temperatures can reach 43°C.

The Northeast (from Salvador north) is warm all year, with a lovely breeze from the ocean. Temperatures range from the upper 20°C to the mid-30°C. Winter months (June-July) are slightly wetter, although rain is limited to a quick shower that cools things off temporarily before giving way to more sunshine.

Brazil's spring season (September to November)

Brazil's "shoulder season" is one of the best seasons to visit the country, from September to November. Brazil is transitioning from a cold winter season to a humid, hot summer season at this time. During this time, most northern hemisphere travelers return home from their vacation, leaving the main tourist attractions with fewer visitors.

Brazil's Summer season (December to February)

Summer in most of Brazil is hot, and for people who prefer sunshine and heat, this is the ideal time to visit. This is also when the world-famous Carnival takes place. Aside from Carnival, visiting Brazil's northern beaches during the summer is a must due to the sunny weather and high temperatures. Join the locals at Rio's Copacabana Beach for that sunkissed Brazilian glow.
