Last Updated On December 03, 2022

Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world due to the abundance of interesting sites to visit. Bali is not only home to some of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world, such as Kuta Beach, Benoa Beach, Sanur Beach, and Lovina Beach, but it is also a haven for adventure and water sports enthusiasts. Bali's impressive coastal temples, such as Tanah Lot, Pura Luhur Uluwatu, and others, make it a truly spiritual and soul-fulfilling trip.

Mount Batur, Tukad Cepung Waterfall, Suna Benida, and Sekumpul Waterfall are among the most naturally gorgeous Bali tourist attractions that should not be missed during your stay. If you enjoy getting up close and personal with nature and wildlife, consider visiting Ubud Monkey Forest, Bali Safari, Marine Park, and Bali Zoo.

Famous Bali locations to visit in Bali include Kuta Night Market, Poppies Lane, Gianyar Night Market, and Ubud Night Market. Apart from this magnificent place's tourist attractions, its rich culture, delicious food, and peaceful environment will undoubtedly make you fall in love.

1. Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Ubud

Tegalalang Rice Terrace stretches across the cliffs of Tegalalang Village in north Ubud and should be on everyone's list of things to visit in Bali. Going around the terraces gives you a better glimpse of this landmark. Though a short tour takes only 15 minutes, we recommend spending 30 to 90 minutes exploring every corner and cranny of this Bali attraction and discovering why it is so essential to Balinese culture.

2. Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida, Indonesia's one of the most famous tourist travel destinations, is the most exotic of the three Nusa Islands and is relatively less traveled. It is located in the Klungkung district, just off the coast of Bali. If you're looking for unspoiled nature in Bali, Nusa Penida might be the place to go.

Nusa Penida, an exquisitely beautiful island separated from Bali by the Badung Strait, is one of the best places to visit in Bali if you are a photographer, explorer, or looking for a peaceful beach getaway. This island teems natural beauty, housing numerous Hindu temples and boasting a slew of lagoons and limestone formations.

3. Mount Batur

Set out from Serongga for the magical grandeur of nature's Mount Batur. From the quiet, soothing sounds of birds to the visual thrill of natural wonders, you can see it all here. While hiking up the trail, you can test your limitations because the last ascent is rocky and challenging for the faint of heart.

4. Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Waterfalls can appear surreal, as you will see when you visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall during your Bali vacation. Because high gorges on all sides surround the waterfall, being here feels like witnessing an indoor plunge.

At certain times of day, sunlight filters through the rocks, illuminating the waterfall and pool below and adding to the location's allure. If you enjoy photography, this location will take your breath away with its unique features.

5. Seminyak

Seminyak is one of the best places for couples to visit in Bali, which has a little more elegance and refinement, and it's home to a strip of Bali's most great beach bars and restaurants. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite locations to visit in Bali. Seminyak has everything you need and is especially friendly to vegans.

6. Bali Swing

Bali Swing is one of the most Instagrammable sites in Indonesia and is located 20 minutes from Ubud center. All you have to do is pay 35 USD, choose one of four swings (10, 15, 20, or 78 meters above ground level), and soar to unprecedented heights while admiring the surrounding rice terraces and lush forests.

7. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

The Pura Luhur Uluwatu, located on Bali's southernmost peninsula, is one of the island's nine major Hindu temples. The temple was built in the 11th century on the edge of a limestone cliff top jutting out over the sea.

8. Ubud Art Market

When in Ubud, stroll around the stalls of the Ubud Art Market, one of the top locations to visit in Bali for shoppers. Avoid the crowds of visitors who arrive early in the morning. Get some souvenirs or Balinese crafts at an affordable cost.

9. Tegenungan Waterfall

Tegenungan Waterfall is a must-see for nature enthusiasts. Because of its proximity to Bali's pulsating heart, it is a popular location that can be reached in only 30 minutes by car from Ubud. After a few minutes of strolling down the path, reach the waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim.

10. Kuta Beach

Kuta Beach signaled the beginning of the tourism era in Bali. Kuta, located just minutes from the Bali airport, attracts hundreds of people to its yellow sands and surf waves, making it one of the country's most active and energetic beaches. A plethora of low-cost options for lodging, cuisine, and beach clubs make this an excellent destination for young travelers looking for a delightful beach vacation.

11. Pura Luhur Lempuyang

Lempuyang Temple is an ancient mountain temple in Bali's east. This temple, located 1,175 meters above sea level, is thought to predate the majority of Hindu temples on the island. The height is accessible via the provided staircase, which is steep and consists of over 1,700 steps with numerous attractions along the way, including several smaller temples. Adventurers will enjoy this combination of a mountain hike and an exotic archaeological site.

12. Canggu

If you're looking for the best option for where to stay in Bali, which has a chilled-out and relaxed ambiance, Canggu is the place to go. You can find excellent restaurants, cafes, and great surf and beaches in Canggu, all alongside local residents.

Canggu offers a more relaxed environment than the bustling and commercialized hotspots of Kuta and Seminyak to the south. When coming here, you will dwell in small villages alongside gorgeous rice paddy fields, providing a more true Bali experience.

13. Pura Luhur Uluwatu

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, located west of Lake Bratan in Bedugul, is a 17th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu trinity of Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva. The temple is built in traditional Balinese style with tiered shrines to honor Hindu gods and is surrounded by a lake, giving it a 'floating' appearance. The backdrop of the Bedugul mountains makes this a beautiful place of worship.

14. Nusa Ceningan

Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Penida form an archipelago that has grown in popularity in recent years. It would be bad to miss out on Nusa Ceningan after traveling to Bali, which is only 20 kilometers away on the southeast coast.

Nusa Ceningan, a short 40-minute boat ride from Sanur on mainland Bali, reveals an entirely different side of Bali. You can expect it to be a highlight of your Bali trip, with nature at its most dramatic and some of the most unassuming locals in this part of the world. Apart from its natural beauty, the island also provides diving, snorkeling, and zip-lining activities.

15. Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is located on Bali's southernmost tip, about a 30-minute taxi ride from Seminyak. This is where the island's high-end luxury hotels are located for the ultimate honeymoon retreat.

Nusa Dua is also known for its long sandy beaches, such as Geger Beach, which we enjoyed, and its massive 18-hole golf course. Nusa Dua is also a popular surfing and diving destination. There are also numerous trekking options, such as the trek up to the Mother Temple Besakih.
